Who we are

This website is operated by Vote on Saskatoon DEED Association Inc. ("we," "us," "our"), doing business as Saskatoon Citizens for a Referendum on DEED, a campaign advocating for a public referendum on the City of Saskatoon's proposed Downtown Event and Entertainment District (DEED).

Information we collect

When you register through the "Register to Sign the Paper Petition" form, we collect the information you provide: first name, last name, email address, postal code, and phone number if you choose to provide it.

How we use your information

We use this information only to:

• Contact you when the official paper petition is ready to sign, and share signing locations and campaign updates;
• Estimate and demonstrate the level of public support for a referendum on DEED; and
• Communicate with you about this campaign.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for purposes unrelated to this referendum campaign.

Online registration vs. the official petition

Registering on this site is not the official petition signature. Saskatchewan law requires the official petition to be signed in person, on paper. Information you submit here is used solely to organize and contact prospective signers ahead of the official petition campaign.

Data retention

We retain your information for as long as reasonably necessary to carry out the referendum campaign described above, after which it will be deleted or de-identified.

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you at any time by contacting us using the details on this site.
